A Hundred I Went To Before I Died
Well after a few weeks of work, my book has been approved and is now available on Createspace. It will be available on Amazon within 5-to seven days. It is only available as a trade softcover but instead of costing $40.95 on Blurb, it will only cost $24.99. This is a more reasonable price for a softcover book. Warm Up for Pari-Roller
The world’s largest skating event takes place every Friday night in Paris France, it is called Pari-Roller. Similar events occur in other european cities, but none as large as the Paris event. The skaters begin to gather at Gare Montparnasse around 9:30 and get the week’s skating route. At 10 P.M. close to 10,000 skaters have gathered and begin to skate through the city until 3 A.M. Some dress in costumes, some are part of teams and some just come to watch, like me. This young lady is warming up for the event. A Quiet Street in Milano
Milan is the commercial center of Italy and a bustling busy city. Some say that it is to Italy as New York is to the United States. It is the center of government, finance and fashion. However, people have to live somewhere and throughout the city there are quiet little streets like this one. These are residential enclaves where people can live their lives away from the busy city center. You can buy a print of this image at my commercial gallery by clicking here.
Frank Zappa
Reblogged from Imagery Photography:
Although Frank Zappa died on December 4, 1993, I still listen to his music regularly. I have seen his son, Dweezil play in concert with Zappa plays Zappa and while the shows are enjoyable they just don’t quite measure up to the Mothers of Invention. This was Zappa at the Pittsburgh Civic Arena in 1974. I do have some Zappa T-Shirts for sale in my…
Seal Island
Reblogged from Imagery Photography:
There is a scenic drive in California that is not to be missed It is called 17-Mile Drive and is a scenic road through Pacific Grove and Pebble Beach on the Monterey Peninsula. There are many scenic views along the drive like the Lone Cypress and the Famous pebble Beach Golf Course. There is a small island off shore that is called Seal island which was one of the highlights for me because I love seeing wildlife in a natural environment.

Begin the Beguine
I first learned about Beguines when I began to travel to Belgium in the early the late 1980′s. My only previous reference point was my father singing Cole Porter’s “Begin the Beguine” when I was a kid. The Beguines were a religious order of the Catholic Church that focused on healing the sick and wounded. In 1776, the City of Bruges dedicated a new “Beguine House” and Chapel near the town center. It is beautiful, quiet and pristine place to visit while touring the city. Many Americans are drawn to the entry gate since the dedication date is also the date of our nation’s birth. It makes you realize how old Europe. You can buy a print of this image on my commercial gallery by clicking here.
Passionate Kiss
Last week’s post (Bienvenue a Paris) received a lot of view and comments. What actually caused the young man to stick his face in my camera was the fact that he saw me taking this picture which will certainly be a part of my new book. Maui Rock Stacking
On our last trip to Maui we noticed different areas where rocks were stacked sometimes four or five feet high. I thought there might be some ancient Hawaiian religious significance to these balancing acts. Later I learned, this happens all over the world and is a hobby for some. Some actually think of this as a profession and earn a living balancing rocks. So much for religion. In any case , they are fun to see and create interesting vistas. This one was taken in West Maui overlooking the Pacific. Buy prints of my Hawaii images by clicking here.
